** Not to be confused with East Ocean on 71st, this is NOT the same restaurant, not the same staff, nor have they ever merged and this restaurant still remains on 41st Street as of today, 12/31/13 (I drove right by it so I can confirm it). Although the awning says "Yeung's Chinese Restaurant, the big street sign on the building that lights up says Yeung's Garden, which may be accounting for some of the confusion from fellow Yelpers ** Good prices, check. Attainable minimum order total for delivery, check (it's only $10, very doable). Filling food, check. Plenty of crispy veggies in your meal, check. Hot food (temperature-wise), check. What else can you ask for? I have been ordering from here for years, even when I lived in the Midtown area, and Yeung's was one of the few places willing to cross the bridge to deliver, so I, in turn, became a loyal customer of theirs to show my appreciation. They are always very appreciative as well, the Asian gentleman that delivers constantly says "thank you" (at least 4 times per visit), so I appreciate the fact they don't take customers for granted. Be patient though, as there can (and usually is) a language barrier when speaking to the staff. Every time I have called to place an order, the person has had trouble understanding me, though I can easily understand their broken English. Their combo meals are a great deal, at about $7-$8 for lunch and about $10 for dinner. They come with an egg roll, a soup (your choice of wonton or egg drop), and pork fried rice. I like that their wonton soup isn't just liquid and 2 wontons, they have shredded cabbage, mushrooms, and pork strips in there too. The food is always well-made, with great flavors (despite the fact they don't use MSG, and I would know as I always get headaches after consuming it), and a nice contrast of coloring from the various ingredients. Unlike other places, the chicken is tender and not rubbery or with chunks of fat rendering half of the meal unedible, and they don't skimp out on the vegetables. I like that they are crunchy and on the raw side, I have never been a fan of overly cooked mushy vegetables. They give you TONS of food, enough to have leftovers for lunch, so $5 for dinner and $5 for lunch is a good value, in my opinion. By the way, the containers they provide for your food are microwavable and can be reused as tupperware storage for other meals, so that's a great green alternative. The egg roll is unimpressive and on the greasy side (aren't they all, though?), but the pork fried rice is good, I like bean sprouts in mine, but I guess that because of last year's bean sprout stomach flu epidemic, they have decided to not even take a chance. It does have fried egg in it though, and it is tasty. I usually order the Szechuan Chicken, and that is what I ordered this time as well, and I posted pictures for you to see. I did ask for it to be medium spicy, but that was a joke. For this and the fact that they failed to include plastic utensils, napkins, or a menu, I deducted a star. As to Shawn's (rather odd) photo, is this even at the correct Yeung's Garden location, or are you confused with another restaurant? It seems a lot of people are confusing this place with East Ocean, based on what I've read in the reviews. In addition, it wouldn't surprise me if that meat you photographed was meant for the dogs. Dogs like chewing bones with fat and meat residue, especially if the meat is dried out like that and that's what that looks like...a dog treat, like Beggin' Strips. I wouldn't assume it's meant for human consumption unless you saw them taking it into the kitchen. The Health Department would have shut them down long ago if that were the case and you'd have reviews left and right of serious stomach poisoning, I'm sure.

Eh. Chicken lo mein was really watery. Wouldn't get it again. Orange chicken wasn't bad though. I ordered pick up. I walked inside and could never imagine eating there. Decor is awful and really bright. Great real estate and great location...they should really invest some time and money into upgrading their interior.

Great food! I especially loved the Mu Shu pork and the beef brocoli. The Mu Shu pork had a great savory flavor and the tortillas came out perfectly. The beef in the beef brocoli was incredibly tender.

You're better off going somewhere else. They are pricier than the others for no reason. I've been here about 5 times in 2 years. Hated it every time. The soup tasted watered down and the egg rolls are not good which is a huge no no because I LOVE egg rolls! I always order the same thing... shrimp lo mien and was disappointed every time. Last time I went my shrimp wasn't de-veined.. that was it for me! I'm told the owners are Cuban so maybe that's why everything tastes so off. Another turn off... no parking, the owner or she's the wife of the owner walks around in her gym clothes that are half her size, and one time her little kids were running around being obnoxious and noisy!

after spending the day in south beach, we were really hungry and we wanted something fast and cheap. this was a walk from our hotel but it was worth it! there were 5 of us and we all order different things. the place is clean and better than most chinese places i've been to. the food was very fresh and the chicken was crispy like it was just made! we went there twice because it was so awesome! highly recommend if youre in north south beach area!

Looking for great chinese delivery and even better sit-down chinese? Check out Yeung's on 41st- we have gone here several times and are never disappointed. The wonton soup is excellent and the food is fresh and delicious.

Absolutely the worst chinese food I have ever had and that is just the start. Came in last Thursday for lunch. It took the waiter 10 minutes just to come to our table (mind you this place is small, takes maybe 20 steps to walk from one side to the other so needless to say they were walking by us multiple times). We finally ordered and I ordered the egg fuyong and my friend ordered the lemon chicken . It took 50 minutes for us to get our food (this is suppose to be one of those fast food chinese places). I asked 3 times about our food. It arrived finally and it was horrible. The waitress never came back, I had to flag someone down for a box because we had to leave after waiting so long, it took 5 minutes for that. I ended up leaving my food when I realized I didn't like it anyways, so why am I taking it.. duh! Will never go back!

The inside of this restaurant is way too bright and poorly decorated with cheap furniture. They still have the Christmas decorations up. However, if you can overlook the indoor decor, you are in for a great meal. there was only one person working as a waitress and is a Buser and as a food runner and as a hostess so I have to give her props for running around and working so hard. She isn't very friendly, she is a talkative but she knows her menuand she is doing the job before five people so I need to give her credit for that. Our meal started with the wonton soup which was very flavorful. Next we have the eggroll which was crispy on the outside with a lovely vegetables on the inside. Next we got the honey chicken and the spareribs which I give a six out of 10 stars. My has been really enjoyed his meal and the fried rice. The prices are extremely inexpensive. I would definitely return.

Awful. sub par take out style food and dirty place with chipped dishes and dirty tea pot and they included the tip but snuck it in with some weird code and don't tell you in the final credit card check so you'll double tip. They don't have a working bathroom and send you to Burger King down the street

I ordered delivery, it was delivered fast but everything I ordered was burnt. The General Chicken was way overcooked, egg roll was so overcooked that the stuff inside was dark colored, crab rangoons also way over cooked. I will never order from here again. I ate some of the chicken and have been sick for 2 days now. I dont know if it was even chicken that was used for the general chicken. I am still looking for a chinese place that uses the long red peppers to make general tso chicken spicy. This was the 2nd time I ordered from here in the past 6 months, the previous order was delivered to the wrong address, after over an hour waiting I was offered a 10% discount to keep the food which was ice cold by the time it would have arrived, I refused to let them deliver the food after that much time (over 90 minutes by the time I called) so they gave me a refund.

ROACH IN MY SOUP! They told me "I think it's not my problem when I called to complain! This was the only Chinese delivery I ordered and I was disgusted and now I'm furious as well.

Extremely dirty bathroom, dirty dishes and food every where, and the kid sitting at the cashier does absolutely nothing the whole time. Clearly they need someone to help do the dishes and clean. The food is OK but when you see the restaurant and bathroom looking like that, I'd hate to even think about what the kitchen looks like. Scary at the very least...

I have been eating from yeungs since I was a child. I recently moved back Miami and was excited to order from this place. But come to find out that everything changed. Starting off with a sharp piece of aluminum in the food that we ordered. Anyone that would've swallowed that piece could had a serious injury. Then calling the restaurant to find no one that is in charge to take responsibility. No one speaks English. Very rude. Then the next day I call back and the mngr. Says he will not make food because the chef is angry and something might happen. So save your self and don't order from this place.

Could not understand how there were not more 1 star reviews until I saw the "Filtered" section - 22 terrible reviews! Ugh, this filtering system really needs to be worked on. I get it's not an easy task but everyone starts somewhere. Years ago this used to be a good place for takeout - place is not great to eat in (needs a desperate renovation) but the food was always solid and fairly priced. About a year ago we found things were a little less fresh and strange tasting, so took some time off. Maybe new management or something...who knows. Ordered recently and got THE MOST DISGUSTING food we have ever had (and we have Chinese almost 1x a week at lots of different places.) Egg drop soup had a pound of salt in it and was inedible. Went down the drain Noodles were undercooked and had some hard pieces in them - sesame sauce was almost nonexistent and gloppy and the whole thing was sticky and had no taste. Oh, and we ordered 2, got 1 but were charged for both. Not that we wanted to eat the other but funny how no one cares to check quantities, I am SURE they wouldn't put too much in, ever. Chicken was hard, stale tasteless and sauce was runny. Rice had a strange yellow color and looked like it was from a can - nasty Other noodles were tasteless, appetizers cold, and prices are not even less than other good places (YUMMYS!) DISGUSTING - we will never order from here again. They need to shut down.

Soooo happy with my delivery from Yeung's, I am writing this as I'm chewing. After I'd given up on decent Asian food in Miami, I am happily shocked by how good this food is. I chose to order from them because they had my favorites -- walnut shrimp and braised tofu (wish they had oysters with ginger and green onion, but can't have it all). The deliver was here to south beach in 20 minutes. The food piping hot and absolutely delicious. The pork fried rice tastes so fresh, the tofu is perfect and so is the walnut shrimp. This review is coming from a west coast transplant who lived in Seattle's Chinatown for years. Very happy. New loyal customer. Only reason it's not 5 stars is it's somewhat Americanized Chinese rather than totally authentic.

They are ok. The food is decent but the service is awful. Also, they often forget items that you order and they are lousy when it comes to trying to correct THEIR mistake. I honestly only come here because the food is decent and it's the closest Chinese spot to my home. I suppose you can say that I sacrifice good customer service for location convenience.

Unbelievable. Since when does Eggplant With Garlic Sauce come with a couple of strips of eggplant and a load of filler-broccoli, green peppers and carrots? Let's get back to basics, guys. Not even recognizable as a Chinese eggplant dish. Flat tasting, even though ordered as 'spicy Schezuan', with no eggplant to boot! Finished with Yeung's, and I was loyal customer for 20 years. Must have changed hands.

This place is alright for Chinese food, but never order for delivery. They are always late by a half an hour or more. I currently have been waiting for an hour and a half for a small one person order.

So I recieved a different item than I ordered and i called to exchange it. I was told I WAS WRONG and I ordered the wrong thing. I know what I ordered! And what I recieved was not it. None the less, I wanted to exchange it. I was told I was not allowed to. They said I ordered the "chow mein" when I actually ordered the "lo mein" apparently noodles are more important than customers. I will never eat here again.

Mediocre at best. If you're hungry and craving asian and passing by. Looked a lot more promising on the outside, like a really good asian hole in the wall type place. But with an asian girlfriend I've raised my standards and regularly eat with chopsticks. Will not be back here again unfortunately.

Ive not eaten at this Chinese restaurant since like the early 1980s since I live on South Beach n ate at Kim's but they closed down. So I decided to try them out since theyre located on Miami Beach. I must say, I was quite delicious. My mom had the chicken lo mein and I had the chicken fried rice...both were quite yummy, tasty and filling. Also the prices were quite reasonable. Ive read the previous reviews but Im satisfying with Yeung's and plan on coming back more often. By the way, they informed me that they deliver to South Beach with a $10 minimum.

want to talk about bad service lets do it ! ordered lunch from them and had it delivered to my job lmao if that's what they say for one what driver makes you go out of your business while you are working to get your food ? yet i still paid and tipped the guy after he pulled that stunt. (2) I am obviously starving and i start to eat my food and i bit into nasty burnt chicken dry rice and a rubbery ass egg roll i was so disgusted called them right after i threw i away and then they were being really rude about the situation and saying i should have left it out so they can pick it up and replace it i am not going to keep food out as a trophy until they decide coming to the place to pick it up so then i told the guy that it was in the trash and he said he cant do anything about it since its in there i told him i wasn't sticking my hands back in the trash for it and if he wanted to come to stick his hands in there he was more than welcomed too so he said no so then i asked him what was going to be done since hes already paid and i didn't even have lunch and he said nothing so i told him off and told him that i was giving him a bad review for this incident and in all honesty i am truly disappointed in them bad customer service and bad burnt food

The food was good, very flavorful. The Decour and cleanliness could be beefed up a bit but were not terrible. Beware that a tip is automatically added to your bill, even for small parties of one or two people. I would go again if I happened to be right there, but would not travel out of my way to go back.

Had dinner there tonight and I have to say that it was mostly a disappointment. Yeung's on the Beach used to be where everyone used to order for take-out, delivery and or dine in back in 1984 when they opened. Today, it's really none of the above and I can tell you the exact reason why. When we walked in, there was a strong stench that resembled a barn full of horses, or a petting zoo. I don't know where that smell could have come from because it's really strange to even be in there. We ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken, Curry Chicken and Special Fried Rice. More on that later. After we ordered, I went to the men's room to do the usual. The tall garbage container was full to the top with paper towels. Sorry but a place with almost zero foot traffic with a full garbage container of paper means that it hasn't been emptied in weeks! Very filthy restrooms with absolutely no attention at all, and you know the saying: if the bathroom's dirty, the kitchen must be too. Oh lord... Walking back to the front part of the dining room, the back room had the entire family housed there. There was an elderly man laying across a couple of chairs with his grand daughter with a blanket covering them, there were other friends or family just talking so loud and even singing to Chinese music that it filled the entire restaurant. Ok, I know that this is supposed to be a review on food, but if the environment is totally misplaced, it affects the complete experience. The Special Fried Rice was supposed to be a quart size, but was more like a pint and a half. Oh, and they give take out menus when you sit down; that was odd. Ok, the rice was lacking in flavor. I remember when the food here was so good! The sweet and sour chicken was heavily battered and the curry chicken was ok. Decent amount of white meat chicken with carrots, onions and red peppers. I don't see myself going there again at all since this place is very dirty, unorganized, and just strange; there is absolutely no regard for customer awareness. In a dining room, even if it's in the back area where you need to pass to go to the restrooms, why would you have your complete family hanging out and just forgetting that this area is should be tidy? Oh, there was one man that came in to order fried rice to go. When it was ready, a little girl of about 10 years old brought it to the man. Just totally like what things used to be but now I don't see a business running this way. Those days are over! I remember when many guests of the hotels used to come over to eat; now they would run from a place like this. Yes it's harsh, but the truth. Lastly, our server was super nice and checked with us throughout the meal. That was the best part of it our experience but unfortunately doesn't make up for the rest of our experience which is sad...

Ordered take out, right away I know everything would be good because the sauces like Szechuan tofu are not typicaly heavy and sugary. LOVE their authentic Chow fun with black bean sauce, but wish they used fresh noodles and not the dry type as used in Pad Thai. Everything was fresh, hot, and delivered quickly by an old chinese guy, may be Yeung tryin to get out of the kitchen for some air? Reasonable $ for Miami beach, get the menu, lots of take out coupons. Real chinese, spoke Mandarin, they always love connecting even with an American "banana" like me. (Yellow outside, white inside)

We ordered the szechuan beef (on the lunch combo) and the shrimp with lobster sauce, also on the lunch combo. This comes with fried rice and an egg roll. Both meals were very good. The szechuan beef was very tasty with a good spicy seasoning. There were ample amounts of fresh beef and the soy based sauce was excellent. The fried rice was also good. The egg roll was not to my liking - I am accustomed to the NY style which has more shredded vegetables. These were somewhat soggy with little vegetable filling - this may be a regional preference. The shrimp/lobster sauce was also good - quality shrimp and a tasty sauce that had the proper thick consistence. Based on this positive experience I will retry whenever I get the urge for Chinese. There are very few Chinese restaurants in the miami area. I have been to two others so far, both mediocre.

We were in the mood for chinese food and were on the search for a decent delivery meal. Unfortunately this was not it. We usually order from Yummy's and are reasonably satisfied, but this was not the case at Yeung's. We ordered two combinations, General Tso's chicken and Shrimp with Lobster sauce (i typically order this to really compare chinese restaurants, none have come even close to the real thing). A soup, egg roll and rice were included with the combos. Soups - wonton soup had 2 dumplings and a lot of water/broth, egg drop soup was more water/broth with some strands of egg. Neither had any flavour. Egg Rolls - were edible, strange flavour. General Tso's Chicken - tasted as anticipated - fried chicken with a sweet sauce. It was satisfying and was as expected. Shrimp with Lobster Sauce - would advise that no one order this dish. It looked like an extension of my egg drop soup but with shrimps sitting in it. Definitely not to my liking at all - no flavour. Delivery was quick and pleasant. I would not likely order from here again as there are many other options on the beach, but if in a jam would order the americanized stuff like general tso's or sweet and sour pork/chicken to be safe.

dont waste ur money. GREASY, cold, soggy, tasteless are just a few words i would use to describe their food and if it is delivered you will undoubtedly be missing SOMEthing in your order. On top of it all delivery takes forever and they are RUDE on the phone. You can get a cheaper, more gentle laxative at walmart, trust me lol

All in all I'd give Yeung's a 4-star. Being a missed place Northerner our comfort food while sick is either Chinese or Italian. Usually I am a pretty adventurous eater but because I hadn't been feeling well I went with an American-Chinese classic; Wonton Soup and LoMein. The ordering process was simple enough, I didn't even need to pick up the phone I just ordered through the website. The delivery took about an hour which is why I am only giving Yeung's a 4-star. The food was the closest I've gotten to NJ/NY style cuisine since leaving 4 years ago. Would definitely like to try dining in and maybe more exotic dishes!

After happy hour at Carrabbas Tikki Bar (at the Marriott Courtyard), my wife and I decided to stay in the last night of our mini vacation in Miami Beach. Tonight I placed an order at 8:22 PM: BBQ spare rib dinner combination, Szechuan Beef dinner combination and a side of chicken wings. I received a call at 8:31 PM. The delivery boy was downstairs asking me to come down and pick up my order (hotel rules). WTF? I easily spent a minute on the phone placing my order. 8 minutes? Holy crap. This was the fastest delivery I ever received. The prices were equivalent to NY prices and the taste was standard. This puts new meaning in fast food and service. Dominoes pizza needs to learn from these folks. FYI, the menu has a sticker saying: "We are moving to: 325-71 Street, Miami Beach." Not sure when this is happening. IFHTP 1

We've been eating Chinese food from this place for decades. They left for awhile and went to North Beach and then came back. I think it was a negotiating tactic, but whatever the reason, we were glad that they came back. When they were gone, we ordered from Mike's China Beach. They're both acceptable but this place has the greasy things that Mike's claims aren't healthy and won't serve, so this is the go to place for greasy good Chinese food. For two dinner combos and an appetizer, the charge for delivery was $30. It's so worth it. There's always leftovers and it reheats really well. We had the beef and broc and the kung pao chicken. The beef was fine, the veggies border on raw. The chicken was greasy good with a thick fried batter in a sweet sauce. I thought it was honey garlic chicken at first, but then I tasted it and it was right hot. Both combos came with pork fried rice, decent but nothing special. The crab rangoons were greasy greasy good. They sure have shrinked the size of those little creamy dumplings. It's a good bargain and I'm glad we have this place nearby for those Chinese cravings.

This place closed and reopened in the same location. it has the same name but not the same management nor the same decor. The front of the house staff consisted of one very young and very depressed waitress and a lazy young man that sat next to the phone and waited for it to ring. Five minutes After being sat at an unset table lacking silverware and napkins, our waitress arrived and took our drink order. She was very irritated that she had to work and did not smile once thruoghout our visit. She disapeared and did not return with our drinks for ten minutes. Not exagerating. We should have left but we were having a good time making fun of the situation. The guy at the door sat and did nothing. As customers left the tables were not reset. Both employees had a look on their faces that they were being forced against their will to work. The food is good.

This place--which for many years housed Fu Man Chu--is now called East Ocean. The food is typical East Coast Chinese takeout. Despite the wonderful decor, don't expect much more. All the chicken is white meat, so that is a plus. The chicken with two delights (bamboo and mushroom) is very good. The Szechuan Tofu is so-so, unless you like mushy tofu and previously frozen vegetables.

Yeung's is quality Chinese food at very reasonable prices. Their take-out service is very, very speedy (but not so much their delivery service). The egg drop & hot & sour soups are both very good. They have good-sized lunch and dinner combinations that are less than $10 (and come with soup & fried rice, and an egg roll with dinner). The menu is huge - mainly because they have the traditional Chinese food options, but also a huge selection of "Cantonese" selections. Everything always sounds delish, but I tend to usually stick to my faves - mu shu, kung pao, hunan, and szechuan. They've had a sign up for a while saying that they're moving to 71st St, and a week or so ago when I asked when that was happening, they said in a couple weeks. However, they did mention that they would still deliver down to the 41st St area - thank goodness! UPDATE: As of 4/27/08, Yeung's has officially moved to their new 71st St. location, and has been re-named East Ocean.

The service was great! Very friendly family owned restaurant, the dumplings were fantastic!!! However the shrimp not so much fried rice was average. I would try again with different items based on the service! Well priced too.

Food was good, but ordered this through a delivery service and they provided NO plasticware, and I requested at least two extra hot chili sauces, only received one small container. When I realized this, called the driver back and he said he could come back in 20 minutes. Too long. Called the restaurant and they were very "whatever" about it. I don't care how good the food is, would not order from here again.

First off - they have moved to 71st street and are operating as East Ocean. Good things: They deliver to the MiMo area, in this case Biscayne and 81st street. The food was very good Chinese Takeout. Not too greasy, lots of flavor and reminiscent of NYC takeout with similar pricing. We had Mu Shu Vegetable, String Beans with Garlic Sauce, Eggplant with Garlic Sauce, Beef with Broccoli, Mongolian Chicken and BBQ Ribs. The Mu Shu was the best dish, with the String Beans being a close second. all the food was exactly what we wanted. Bad things: The delivery took over an hour, which we knew might be the case, and, after we called, the restaurant called us back and said that the delivery guy had been trying to call, even though that was an obvious lie. Then when the delivery guy actually got there he was extremely rude and we actually had to go downstairs and get the food from him which was totally wack. I noticed on the delivery ticket that it said *new customer.* Presumably they would put that so that delivery man would at least be cordial. We called them and let them know what happened. Hopefully they tighten that ship because if they did, they would have an excellent cheap, not-too-greasy-but-not-too-fancy chinese restaurant on their hands, which the neighborhood sorely needs.

Best Chinese food on the beach. I have to drive all the way from 5th and Ocean (South Beach) to get this since I refuse to eat bad or overpriced Chinese food. This is my goto place if I'm not in the North Miami Beach area (163rd).
